Radiology and radiography are used every day in general practice so it is important to keep up to date with this GDC core subject. This video lecture is designed for the general practitioner in mind. There is unique content presented in an easy to understand way and the lecture does not dwell on complex physics or endless regulations; instead it provides you with real world advice and teaching you can use today in practice.
By discussing the uses of CBCT by referring to the latest guidance and evidence you will become more confident knowing when to prescribe this exciting imaging technique. The CBCT imaging chain is discussed with numerous diagrams and photos to aid learning.
The second part of the video lecture concentrates on spotting abnormalities on panoramic images and putting this into practice with a series of real images to view. Anatomy and pathology is explained enabling you to become a more confident practitioner.

Simon graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2008 and has worked in OMFS, general dental practice and Oral Surgery before starting as a Registrar at Guy’s. He was awarded MFDS RCS in 2011 and completed a Masters degree in Medical Ethics and Law from King’s College London in 2012. Simon delivers regular lectures and seminars to undergraduate and postgraduate audiences and has recently finished his first book as co-editor titled “Cone Beam Computed Tomography in Endodontics”.
