The Care Quality Commission (CQC) have now inspected more than a quarter of the dental practices that applied for registration.  Although CQC inspectors are finding a high level of compliance generally; there are certain areas which seem to be less well understood.

Safeguarding vulnerable adults is just one such area, because until now there has been relatively little in terms of training materials. When the CQC inspect a practice they want to hear comments from patients, but also to gauge the level of training and understanding amongst all the staff. So just having a safeguarding policy tucked away on a dusty shelf is not going to satisfy them.

This video will provide you and your team with the essential understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and how the Mental Capacity Act should be applied in your practice.  You will receive a CPD certificate upon answering the 5 short questions at the end of the video.
